JOB Description: 
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is looking to recruit a visual designer to support its interaction with its stakeholders, its partners and the general public, through creative visual communication products explaining EMA’s work in the protection of public health. In this role, you will be working in a dynamic health communication environment as part of a team of 9 communication experts who are responsible for managing EMA’s media interaction and public-relations activities. Working in line with the Agency’s corporate identity guidelines, you will: • contribute to the preparation of presentations that have real impact; • develop visual design elements for use in EMA communication materials, including printed publications and websites; • develop engaging animations and videos; • provide advice to your colleagues across the Agency on the design and use of visual elements on websites, in presentations and in documents. The Role Reporting to the Head of Media and Public Relations, you will be responsible for the following tasks: • Contributing to the development of communication assets that explain EMA’s work and contribution to public health and reinforce EMA’s brand identity, for audiences including patients, doctors, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, people interested in working for EMA and other stakeholders; • Develop effective and engaging multimedia presentations and materials; • Create engaging short videos summarising EMA events, briefings or presentations; • Organise and execute video shoots, edit raw footage including audio tracks, and create professional video presentations with special effects; • Support internal and external events with creative exhibition materials in both print and electronic format; • Create, source and edit images and video footage and maintain a repository; • Maintain and develop new templates for publications, such as reports and newsletters; • Provide advice to the Online and Corporate Design Service, and other EMA teams as necessary, on web design and on provision of visual assets online; • Support the maintenance of the Agency’s templates for use by staff in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, provide advice and guidance on their use, and deal with updates as necessary.
