JOB Description: 
• Performing the function of Head of the Liaison Office in Brussels (subject to formal appointment in the role by the Appointing Authority), and reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Liaison Officer will contribute to and facilitate the dialogue and exchange of information with the Institutions and Bodies. The Senior Liaison Officer will, in particular, be responsible for: • Maintaining, developing and supervising relations and cooperation with the Member States and associated countries, European Commission, the Council and the Parliament as well as with other EU Agencies; • Maintaining the dialogue and exchange of information with the Institutions or Bodies in Brussels on subject matters relevant to eu-LISA mandate and responsibilities; • Promoting eu-LISA dialogue with international organisations and third countries relevant to the mandate of eu-LISA; • Performing background research of EU Justice & Home Affairs (JHA) related topics in view of contributing to the preparation of briefing notes for relevant Council working groups, JHA Councils, EP Committees meetings and other relevant events; • Identifying and advising the Executive Director as appropriate on political and legislation initiatives of the European Union, which are relevant to the mandate and work of eu-LISA; • Pro-actively contributing to stakeholder management efforts of eu-LISA to promote its capacities and develop partnerships; • Contributing to and preparing briefing notes, minutes, memos and reports on issues of concern; • Representing eu-LISA in meetings, conferences, visitors groups briefings; • Contributing to preparation, execution, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of eu-LISA’s Annual Work Programme (Programming Document), eu-LISA strategy, budget and other relevant strategic and operational documents; • Implementing and periodically contributing to reviews and updates of the Agency’s long-term strategy, internal policies, procedures and processes and ensuring compliance of the Sector day-to-day work with them; • Contributing to the risk management in the organisation and assuring compliance with applicable law in the execution of the tasks of the Sector; • Acting as budget line owner, verifier and Authorising Officer per delegation for all budget lines related to the services allocated to the respective Sector to ensure that financial resources are spent in an efficient way and in line with the requirements of the Financial Regulation; • Carrying out other relevant tasks assigned by the Executive Director.
