JOB Description: 
We are looking for a Security Monitoring (SECMON) Operations Manager who will lead the security operations centre function at the GSMC. He / She will lead the GSMC/SECMON team composed of analysts and 24/7 operators, and will report directly to the SOM Head of department. The foreseen main tasks and responsibilities will include: - Manage the GSMC Security Monitoring and Incident Handling operations in accordance with the service level commitments: - Coordinate the review and refinement of the established processes in order to optimise the response capabilities; - Lead the SOM/GSMC SECMON operational team and its maintenance activities to maximize operational mission availability; - Coordinate the operational policies implementation (e.g. standby duty, shift policy and handover policy); - Maintain the Security Monitoring shift roster in order to ensure the availability of the Security Monitoring 24/7 real-time operations; - Manage the internal and external interfaces needed to provide the operational mission; - Coordinate the contractual follow-up of the operational support contracts; - Support the recruitment, training and certification of the GSMC operators and analysts; - Contribute to the SOM/GSMC SECMON operational engineering activities (flow down of SECMON requirement, their validation and verification activities); - Contribute to the SECMON project management activities (including planning of resources and activities, reporting, and potential communication activities); - Liaise with other departments, notably in the area of Administration, to ensure the execution of related corporate tasks, such as planning, reporting, administration, financial & budget management, risk management. The jobholder may be required to remain on standby duty at GSMC sites or at home outside normal working hours, especially to ensure the Chain of Command availability to respond to anomalies or incidents.
