JOB Description: 
As Antimicrobial Resistance Scientific Specialist, you will get to lead and represent the European Medicines Agency (EMA) activities related to the use of antimicrobials in veterinary medicine and development of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The Antimicrobial Resistance Scientific Specialist will work in the Veterinary Risk and Surveillance service, in a multinational team of scientists. You will be leading the coordination and communication of AMR activities, such as scientific publications, and will actively represent EMA in scientific and policy meetings, as well as participate in the AMR activities of the Agency’s European partners (including the European Commission, European Food Safety Agency [EFSA], European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control [ECDC] and the European Chemical Agency [ECHA]), and international organisations (including the World Organisation for Animal Health [OIE], the World Health Organisation [WHO], Codex Alimentarius[1], the Transatlantic Taskforce on Antimicrobial Resistance [TATFAR], Food and Agriculture Organisation [FAO] and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and development [OECD]). As Antimicrobial Resistance Scientific Specialist, you will also be responsible for the scientific quality assurance for the assessment of marketing authorisation applications falling under Regulation (EU) No 2019/6, and for coordinating the collection of data on antimicrobial medicinal products used in animals (in accordance with Art. 57 of Regulation (EU) No 2019/6), including for the European Surveillance of Veterinary Antimicrobial Consumption (ESVAC) project.
