JOB Description: 
The Research Assistant will be working under the supervision of the Head of External Affairs and Capacity Building Sector and reporting to the Head of the Unit. The Research Assistant will provide advice and support in the area of research related to the tasks of eu-LISA. The Research Assistant will be mainly responsible for: • Assisting and contributing to the implementation of relevant parts of the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, where the Commission has delegated the relevant powers to the Agency; • Supporting research activities through general coordination of administrative matters; • Liaising with internal stakeholders to support communications on relevant and necessary technical changes to the IT systems under Agency’s responsibility; • Supporting the work in the research field relevant to the Agency’s mandate by assembling appropriate materials and assessing their content against various on-going activities; • Reviewing and editing various documents produced by the research team; • Administering the Agency’s repository of reading materials and supporting the purchase of new books and subscription to online resources; • Supporting the publication of research reports and their dissemination to relevant stakeholders; • Liaising internally and externally with the EU Institutions and Agencies and research project consortia; • Assessing the content of various externally-submitted documents related to research projects against pre-defined criteria; • Assisting in the coordination of eu-LISA´s participation at external meetings and conferences, e.g. research conferences; • Assisting the organization of eu-LISA Annual Conference, the Industry Roundtables and other events coordinated by the research team; • Supporting the update of the internal intranet, public eu-LISA website and other online platforms as relevant as regards meetings and documents; • Assisting with information sharing for internal and external communication; • Preparing meeting minutes and reports on requested subject matters; • Executing other relevant tasks assigned by the Head of Sector/Unit.
