JOB Description: 
Overall purpose The jobholder shall provide architecture guidance and contribute to solution design, engineering, technical product management and system administration. She/he will be responsible for designing and refining the architecture of existing and future digital solutions according to specific assignments, thus contributing to achieving the objectives of the work programme assigned to the Unit and the general objectives of the EFCA. Functions and duties Reporting to the Head of Unit Resources and IT, and as regards the day-to-day work, under the direct supervision of the Head of Sector ICT, the tasks of the jobholder may include, in particular: • Contribute to determining the EFCA’s ICT current and future needs in relation to development and management of Information security systems; • Assess the systems architecture currently in place and develop a strategy to enhance and evolve it in line with the needs; • Propose appropriate hardware and software solutions and ensuring the implementation of the agreed architecture and infrastructure; • Recommend data storage architecture and model solutions to ensure the organisation’s operations; • Assess and provide updates on product development processes, costs, and budgets to stakeholders; • Contribute to ensuring the implementation of the IT Strategy and Master Plan; • Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals and provide 3rd level support for technical problems; • Other tasks as assigned. Job environment The jobholder works in the premises of the Agency in Vigo, Spain. The duties are being performed in a multinational environment, under the Staff regulations and other frameworks of the EU legislation. The job may include missions abroad. The main working language of the Agency is English. Qualifications and experience required A. Eligibility criteria • A university degree and at least 6 years proven professional experience acquired after the award of a university diploma when the normal duration of university education is four years, or at least 7 years of proven professional experience acquired after the award of the university diploma, when the normal duration of university education is three years; • Thorough knowledge of English with a satisfactory knowledge of at least another official language of the European Union to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties. B. Selection criteria Essential • At least 4 years of professional experience in architecture definition, specification and in providing architecture supervision and support to ICT projects delivery; • Professional experience in defining data storage architecture solutions; • Professional experience in the creation of software systems with high levels of availability, scalability, reliability and security; • Professional experience in cloud architectures MS Azure and AWS; • Sound knowledge of DevOps best practices and continuous entire service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production support; • Sound knowledge of Identity and access management processes, policies and technologies; • Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to prioritize; • Excellent team working spirit and ability to contribute to a positive working environment; Advantageous • Knowledge of ICT infrastructure trends and methods of EU bodies; • Knowledge of EU procurement procedures; • Experience in the domain of IT Systems on Fisheries activities; • Relevant certifications or official trainings in the field of the IT Architect profile;
