JOB Description: 
The SatCen is seeking suitable candidates to fill the Imagery Analyst – Augmentee (B Grade) position and establish a reserve list. The The Imagery Analyst – Augmentee is responsible to the Operations Manager and works under the guidance of a Team Leader. The Imagery Analyst is responsible for exploiting relevant space assets and collateral data, including satellite imagery, aerial imagery and geospatial information, to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on Earth. The imagery-derived products and services are intended to support the decision-making and actions of the European Union in the field of Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), in particular, Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), including European Union crisis management missions and operations. The Imagery Analyst – Augmentee will be responsible, amongst others, for the following duties: Job Description: • Cooperates with and reports to the Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader regarding all issues related to any task assigned to him/her, in particular as far as planning, preparation and execution are concerned; • Performs imagery/data manipulation, processing and enhancement of digital data as required for analysis and the creation of EU SatCen products, using all forms of available imagery, collateral/digital data; • Undertakes detailed, accurate and timely imagery/data analysis as directed by the Team Leader, Deputy Team Leader and/or Operations Manager, making the best use of all forms of available imagery and collateral data complying to the EU SatCen Standards and Procedures; • Generates detailed, accurate and concise analysis products using the available software for imagery analysis and report production; • Performs preliminary quality checks of prepared data and ensuring that they are in accordance with the SatCen standards and procedures; • Acquire and maintain proficiency on the computer systems and software used within the production chain; • Participating in the optimisation/definition of methodologies and working procedures; • Collaborate with internal users to analyse problems and opportunities to improve efficiency, understand their goals and initiative and help transform them into solutions; • Provide training support as directed by the Team Leader, Operations Manager and/or Head of Division and prepare and presents briefings to internal and external personnel and external agencies; • Perform additional duties, appropriate to the grade, as instructed by the Team Leader and/or Operations Manager;
