JOB Description: 
Mission The ECRET provides operational, technical and financial support to Member States and, where applicable, to third countries, to ensure an efficient and sustainable implementation of returns within the framework of the Union policy on return and in accordance with the Agency’s mandate. Organisation The Division is led and managed by the Director of ECRET (DECRET) who reports to the DED-RO. It is divided into 3 Units: Pre-Return Unit (PRE), Return Operations and Voluntary Returns Unit (RVR), and Post-Return Unit (POST). The tasks and activities of the Division are coordinated by the ECRET Coordination Office (CECRET), which is part of the coordination structure of the Agency. Main tasks (a) Supporting Member States in the organisation and coordination of return operations. (b) Supporting the efficient implementation of Union policy on return. (c) Providing technical and operational assistance to Member States in the area of return, including in the identification of and acquisition of travel documents for third-country nationals subject to return procedures. (d) Providing technical and operational assistance to Member States in the area of pre-return, return-related, post-arrival and post-return activities. (e) Providing assistance to Member States in relation to (assisted) voluntary returns, prioritising assistance to Member States experiencing challenges with regard to their return systems. Key activities (a) Coordinating, initiating and organising return operations. (b) Providing assistance in relation to voluntary returns in cooperation with the Member States. (c) Identifying needs and shortfalls of Member States in the fields of pre-return, return, and post-return finding solutions and providing tailor-made support. (d) Providing appropriate assistance to Member States in the form of a return intervention when a Member State is facing a burden when implementing the obligation to return third-country nationals who are the subject of return decisions issued by a Member State. (e) Providing support to Member States in developing their national IT systems for return case management in accordance with the Frontex reference model. (f) Developing, implementing and contributing to the implementation of technical assistance projects for third countries in the area of return and reintegration in cooperation with Member States and other relevant stakeholders. (g) Supporting the operational deployment of return teams in the framework of the EBCG standing corps, of other experts and resources needed for the implementation of different return-related activities, as well as of Return Liaison Officers.
