Major purpose EIOPA is launching a call for candidates with the intention to create a reserve list of Experts for different areas within the Authority (e.g. digital finance, operational resilience, data science and data management, sustainable finance, oversight, supervisory processes, prudential regulation (insurance and pensions), consumer protection (conduct of business policy and supervision), recovery and resolution of undertakings and financial analysis. The successful candidates will contribute, as part of one of EIOPA’s departments to fulfil EIOPA’s strategic objectives. Main responsibilities • Contribute as appropriate to EIOPA's core objectives and responsibilities of: - improving consumer protection and rebuild trust in the financial system - ensuring strong, effective and consistent regulation and supervision, taking account of the interests of all member states and the different nature of financial institutions - bringing about more harmonised and consistent application of the rules for financial institutions and markets across the EU - strengthening the oversight function, including oversight of cross-border groups - promoting coordinated supervisory responses from the EU • Contribute to the digital transformation of EIOPA in the areas of data science, financial stability and supervisory tools and process; • Contribute to continued integration of sustainable finance in EIOPA’s areas of responsibilities; • Liaise as appropriate with relevant internal and external counterparts and develop working relationships on an expert level; • Any other tasks as required.
