JOB Description: 
You will join a highly skilled and motivated team of experts. As an Aerodromes Expert you will perform all activities foreseen by the rulemaking process in the aerodrome domain with a focus on aerodrome certification specifications. In addition, you are expected to qualify as an EASA standardisation team member and to support standardisation inspections with your technical knowledge of the aerodrome regulation. Your main accountabilities will be to: ◼ Lead and provide expert input to rulemaking activities relating to aerodrome safety with a focus on aerodrome certification specifications and guidance material for aerodrome design in accordance with Regulation (EU) 139/2014 ◼ Identify, propose and develop rulemaking and safety promotion activities, and communicate with stakeholders ◼ Deliver assigned rulemaking tasks, including drafting notices of proposed rulemaking, consultation of stakeholders, commenting reviews and preparing opinions/decisions ◼ Provide clarifications on the aerodromes rules, including aerodrome certification specifications, acceptable means of compliance and guidance material and support their implementation by EASA Member States and by stakeholders with expert advice◼ Coordinate and provide expert input to responses to safety recommendations from accident investigations ◼ Represent EASA during meetings of European and international technical working groups and organisations (e.g., EASA rulemaking groups, ICAO working groups, technical standard bodies etc.) ◼ Provide expert input to EASA’s strategic activities and to aerodrome-related innovations ◼ Provide advice on certification and declaration of safety-related aerodrome equipment, as well as on the development of the future European concept for certification and declaration of safety-related aerodrome equipment
